Frogmore

Junior School

History of our School

Our school was built in 1969 in beautiful and spacious grounds between Yateley and Blackwater. The school benefits from bright and airy classrooms, extensive landscaped grounds and sizeable playground and adventure play facilities for the children to enjoy.

On 1 September 2013, Frogmore Junior School converted to academy status.  This  decision was taken by the Secretary of State for Education as the best way of ensuring a rapid improvement in standards at school.  An academy is an independent, state-funded school that is detached from local authority control and receives funding directly from the Department for Education.   Academies are guided by the national education framework but have greater freedom to make choices that suit the needs of their own pupils, for example, in developing the curriculum and setting budget priorities.

Throughout the change, our mission has remained the same:  to provide a warm, engaging and stimulating environment that fosters tolerance and understanding, in which children are able to enjoy learning and develop a lifelong love of knowledge.
