The NHS' Healthy Child Programme involves school nurses working in partnership with schools, children and their families to ensure that children’s health needs are supported within their school and their community. Each school nurse covers a number of schools. The team reviews children’s health in YR, monitors growth in Y6, runs immunization programmes in secondary school and can provide advice and support through the school setting. For more details see
