GLF Schools

GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

Ofsted & Performance Data

I am delighted to attach a copy of our most recent Ofsted report which was published following the inspection that took place on Tuesday 2nd and Wednesday 3rd October 2018.

I’m particularly proud of the ‘outstanding’ judgement for pupil behaviour and the report of how our pupils have such positive attitudes to school.

Ofsted recognise that Frogmore Junior School aims for the highest possible standards for all our pupils. We received praise for our broad curriculum that is brought to life through carefully planned visits, visitors and first-hand experiences. We also received praise for the way in which we provide a wide range of sporting opportunities and a ‘have a go’ environment that encourages pupils to learn from their mistakes.

Recent test results also received praise, with Ofsted noting how pupils achieve above average results in Reading, Writing and Mathematics. Pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds achieve outcomes in line with their non-disadvantaged peers and pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities make good progress. Ofsted state: ‘The recent rise in standards, together with pupils’ positive attitudes to learning, ensures that pupils are prepared well for secondary school.’

Overall, Ofsted judge Frogmore Juniors to be a ‘Good’ school. It is a fantastic achievement for everyone.

Thank you to Governors and our Multi Academy Trust, GLF Schools – both instrumental in securing such excellent progress for the school.

This year, 56% of our pupils achieved the highest standard in Mathematics and 44% of pupils achieved the highest standard in Reading. 27% of pupils achieved the highest standard in Writing.  In the ‘areas to develop further’ reported by Ofsted we have been set the challenge of improving on these results so that even more pupils achieve at this level. It’s a challenge we all gladly accept.
